WBA in for Croft?
By: David | January 25th, 2009
According to The Sun newspaper, so no need to worry yet, West Bromwich Albion are going to table a £500k bid for Lee Croft.
The winger, signed from Manchester City in 2006 for £600k, has made 26 appearances in all competitions this season scoring 4 goals, all in the league with one of those in the victory over the blue scum in December.
With his contract up in the summer a new deal was set to be discussed with Rodent, which probably means he’d have been let go. Hopefully now the regime changes are being made Crofty will sign a new deal and really build on his last couple of months good form for the remainder of the season.
Should no new deal be in the offing, then £500k would seem a good figure for a player who can blow hot and cold and lacks consistent quality final ball delivery.
