

Taylor and Clark The First Recruits

New Norwich City boss Glenn Roeder has made his first two recruits ahead of tomorrow’s derby with Ipswich Town. In the last two days he has signed Birmingham’s Martin Taylor on a months loan to bring “much needed height” to the Norwich defence. Roeder made it clear Taylor is a player he has been monitoring for some time. He was signed by Birmingham from Blackburn in 2004 for 1.25 million but has since made only one appearance for the Blues this campaign.
On the coaching side too there is a new face. Lee Clark, 35, previously a coach at Newcastle, joins the Canaries as Roeder’s number two after having worked together during Roeder’s reign at St. James’ Park.
And, with Sheffied Wednesday beating Plymouth 2-1 along with QPR winning 2-0 against Hull today we need to reduce the six point drift at the bottom of the table by half. Tomorrow! Carrow Road awaits the turning point as the potential for Sunday magic grows. On paper, this could be a perfect, romantic plot-line awaiting us tomorrow. On the other hand…
