Relegation Run In
By: David | April 12th, 2009Five games remain this season, only two of those at home, for Norwich City to fight off relegation into the third tier of English football.
Gunny has spent the days following the defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday bemoaning refereeing decisions yet again. Unfortunately Mike Russell wasn’t responsible for another half hearted City performance. The ‘goal’ he chalked off came in the dying minutes of a game in which Norwich never deserved anything other than a zero in the points for column. Zero matching the rating for commitment from the players and subsequent atmosphere in the ground.
With only two home games remaining and abysmal away form blighting us for a couple of seasons now it’s squeaky bum time if results fail to materialise in Wales today.
I’d suggest it’s a three horse race between us, Forest and Barnsley for the final relegation place. Forest look like they’re hitting some good form and Barnsley have a couple of games in hand and similar goal difference to us. It looks like Saints and certainly Charlton are going down.
