Stay Strong John Hartson

By: David | July 23rd, 2009

With John Hartson having been diagnosed with testicular cancer that has spread to his brain and lungs I want to offer him and his family our thoughts and prayers. Despite only playing six games for Norwich, Hartson made a very significant contribution coming off the bench in 2007 home game against the scum to turn the game and get both assists in the 2-2 draw with us having been 2-0 down at half time. The club was in the infancy of the rodent regime at the time and being rooted to the foot of the league by eight points. Hardly an easy move for a player of Hartson’s calibre but one that he embraced and was perhaps unlucky not to get more game time. Although he didn’t have the speed his wily football brain and superb close ball control shone through on the pitch for us, class really is permanent. All the best John for your battle. We wish you well, you can beat it. You’ve a big heart, Big Hart.
